Until recently I presumed TikTok was reserved for younger generations and that, at the wrong side of 35, I would be too much of a boring old fart to partake. However, curiosity got the better of me, and I wondered if there was any worthwhile vegan content on there.
Turns out this Tiktok lark is pretty good and vegan food TikTok has become a bit of an obsession! The sheer number of accounts showcasing spectacular vegan food creations is very inspiring. It definitely makes me want to get into the kitchen more often and try my hand and whipping up some of the incredibly tasty looking dishes I’ve seen.
Although even if you don’t plan on getting hands on there is something incredibly satisfying about watching a beautiful dish come together in a few seconds to a background of music and cooking sounds.
So, without further ado, let me share with you 7 of the finest vegan TikTok accounts that you should follow.
Dr.Vegan’s TikTok account is a gastronomic journey around the world, serving up a plethora of tasty vegan dishes to delight your palate. It’s great to see a focus on Middle Eastern vegan recipes, as that seems to be overlooked on vegan Tiktok from what I’ve seen so far. While the videos are not heavily narrated, the satisfying sounds of food preparation – from frying and chopping to grating – make for a soothing experience.
Dr.Vegan also features an array of bread recipes that are sure to tempt anyone with a love for this universally adored staple into the kitchen. If you’re keen to expand your vegan repertoire while enjoying a feast for the senses, or even if you just need bread… then this is the account for you.
Funky tunes on top of incredibly tasty looking food is what’s on offer here (Rhi clearly knows exactly what she’s about as I actually wrote that before looking at the account bio which states: “well good food well good tunes”, couldn’t agree more). She covers all bases with an array of delicious dishes from pastas, noodles, and sandwiches to wraps and curries. If I could afford a personal chef I think the menu would look a lot like this account.
The videos, minimally narrated, let you relish the sight of the tasty food while bopping to the tunes. What’s particularly appealing is that many of the recipes seem accessible even to novice cooks like myself, with no crazy ingredients, making this account a great place to start for those eager to try their hand at vegan cooking.
VeggieAnh’s TikTok account stands out as an excellent source of easy-to-make, delicious, and healthy plant-based Asian recipes. Her goal is to make the vegan lifestyle more accessible to everyone, and her simple-to-follow videos are a testament to that commitment.
Moreover, her heartwarming recollections of childhood family cooking sessions not only provide a delightful insight into her background, but also infuse her content with a sense of nostalgia that leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling. For anyone seeking not just vegan recipes, but also a wholesome and uplifting food journey, VeggieAnh is a must-follow.
NomeatDisco’s TikTok account is a treasure trove of what could best be described as high-end vegan comfort food, defying typical genre classifications. The videos are not only stylish, but they also feature beautifully presented and mouthwatering dishes that are sure to inspire.
Clear, concise narration enhances the ease of following his recipes, while his laid-back personality ties in well with the food content, adding a unique and enjoyable personal touch. For a mix of style, taste, and mouthwatering vegan creations, NomeatDisco is a destination worth checking out.
Thee Burger Dude’s TikTok is a haven for vegan burger enthusiasts. This channel is dedicated to crafting vegan renditions of popular US fast-food favorites like the Big Mac. However, the content doesn’t stop at burgers; it also includes veganised comfort food delicacies such as Mongolian beef and scrambled tofu.
This dude is not afraid to push the envelope, exemplified by wild creations in his delicious or disgusting series, like a burger topped with peanut butter – a unique culinary adventure that sounds weird but also potentially wonderful! If you’re on the hunt for vegan burgers with a twist, Thee Burger Dude’s TikTok is a must.
Cherie Tu aka ThrivingOnPlants, showcases vibrant and appetising Asian-style vegan dishes that are a feast for the eyes. The lack of narration in the videos allows viewers to fully appreciate the stunning food creations without any distractions. However, Cherie includes full written recipes in the description of each video for those ready to give the dishes a try.
Some of her creations, like the black pepper stir-fry using TVP instead of beef, are so convincingly similar to their non-vegan counterparts, it’s hard to believe they’re plant-based. If you’re seeking visual inspiration and recipes to elevate your vegan cuisine, ThrivingOnPlants is definitely a valuable resource to explore.
Calum Harris’ TikTok is a fun mix of eclectic vegan recipes, showcasing everything from strawberry tarts to salt and pepper tofu, and a whole lot more in between. His haphazard approach to the videos is complemented by a healthy dose of humour, creating an endearing ‘if this guy can do it, so can I’ vibe for viewers. (I think that’s a compliment…)
This unique style has obviously resonated with a wide audience, as evidenced by his nearly 90k followers on Tiktok and 175k on Instagram. In addition, Calum has recently leveraged this success to release a book titled ‘The 20-Minute Vegan.‘ If you’re seeking delicious vegan recipes delivered with a side of humour, his Tiktok is certainly worth a look.
Get looking then get cooking!

I’m the founder and editor-in-chief at GetVedgy. As a former meat eater who only recently made a commitment to veganism, I’ve spent a lot of time over the last couple of years researching the subject. It felt like a good idea to share what I’ve learnt and help to answer the questions I’ve had that no doubt many others’ will also have.
